Tavy Deming primarily handles False Claims Act litigation involving healthcare fraud. Ms. Deming’s experience in this area includes representing whistleblowers in the two largest False Claims Act settlements in US history, the September 2009 $2.3 billion settlement with Pfizer and the January 2009 $1.4 billion dollar settlement with Eli Lilly for its off-label marketing of the drug Zyprexa.  Most recently, Ms. Deming represented one of the whistleblower in the April 2010 $520 million settlement with AstraZeneca arising from the company’s off-label marketing of the blockbuster drug Seroquel.

Before Joining Kenney & McCafferty, she gained considerable expertise working on complex corporate and commercial claims with a focus on healthcare litigation.

Ms. Deming completed her undergraduate studies at James Madison University in 1993, graduating magna cum laude and earning Academic All-American honors. She earned her law degree at Villanova University, graduating in 1998.

Ms. Deming is admitted to practice before the following courts:
